Zorya

Privacy

Zorya is built to be private by default. It sets no cookies and collects no personal data — there's no account, no tracking profile, and nothing to sign in to.

Analytics

We measure aggregate traffic (page views, referrers, rough country) using our host's server-side, log-based analytics. It runs on the server from ordinary request logs — no script runs in your browser and no cookie or cross-site identifier is set, so there's nothing to consent to.

Your location

If you tap “use my location”, your browser shares your coordinates with your explicit permission and only for that request. We use them to fetch the forecast for where you are — they are not stored, logged against you, or sent anywhere except the weather query. You can search by place name instead and never share your location at all.

Data sources

Weather comes from MET Norway and aurora data from NOAA SWPC. Requests to them carry only the coordinates being forecast, never anything about you.
